Marias
Wut stammt aus der Behinderung, die sie durch die Gesellschaft erfährt.
Ihr ganzes Leben lang dachte sie, sie kann, wie jeder andere Mensch
auch, ihr normales Leben führen. Sie wird ihr Jurastudium beenden und
dann wird sie als Anwältin arbeiten, viel Geld verdienen, glücklich sein
und sich fühlen, als hätte ihr Leben Sinn. Doch dann kommt das Ende des
Studiums, das Arbeitsleben beginnt und ein Jahr ums andere stellt sich
das NORMAL nicht ein. Ihr Freund gibt ihr nie das Gefühl, dass er ihre
Behinderung sieht. Aber mehr und mehr spürt Maria, dass sie behindert
wird. Als Erwachsener sollte sich doch alles einrenken. Es sollte doch
funktionieren, das Leben. Aber es holpert, es hapert und es fehlt an
Respekt.
Die Wut bricht aus. Auf eine Gesellschaft, die mit
ihrer unendlich engen Norm nicht nur Maria behindert. Auf hunderte
Menschen in Marias Leben, die glauben, sie verstehen das alles und man
müsse nur das und jenes tun oder einfach mal tief durchatmen. NEIN. Man
muss nicht durchatmen, man muss durchdrehen.
Das Drehbuchprinzip
„save a cat, kill a dog“ besagt, dass Hauptfiguren durch einen
selbstlosen Akt (eine Katze retten) oder eine sinnlose Grausamkeit
(einen Hund töten) dem Publikum näher gebracht oder entzogen werden
können. MARIA KILLS A DOG stellt die Frage, wann ein nicht-behindertes
Publikum einer behinderten Hauptfigur die Sympathie entzieht und ob es
in Fragen von Gerechtigkeit überhaupt um Sympathie geht.

Alvarez Ruiz spielt Maria Cruz. An einem musikalisch und ästhetisch der
weiblichen Wut gewidmeten Abend wird sie dabei von Lilli Elena
Strakerjahn und Peter Neugschwentner als Dialogpartner:innen,
musikalischer Untermalung und szenischer Konfrontation unterstützt.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
