Paal Nilssen-Love ist einer der kreativsten und aktivsten Musiker Norwegens. Mit mehr als tausend Auftritten und Hunderten von Aufnahmen kennt man den Schlagzeuger aus Bands wie „The Thing“ oder Peter Brötzmanns „Chicago Tentet“ und aus den Arbeiten mit Musikern wie Arto Lindsay, Peter Brötzmann, Thurston Moore und vielen anderen. 2013 entschloss sich Nilssen-Love, seine eigene Big Band ins Leben zu rufen. Vorwiegend aus jüngeren skandinavischen Musikern bestehend, zeigt sich die „Large Unit“ auf der Bühne als eine intensive Energie-Einheit, die aber mühelos zu subtil strukturierten Passagen umschwenken kann.

Raumklänge wurde 1998 als Konzertreihe für zeitgenössische Musik ge-gründet und widmet sich immer wieder interdisziplinären Grenzgängen.
Raumklänge ist eine Kooperation von der Kulturabteilung der Stadt Pulheim, dem Museum Morsbroich (Leverkusen), dem Hallraum Worringer Platz (Düsseldorf) und der In Situ Art Society (Bonn) und wird im Rahmen der Regionalen Kulturpolitik vom Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen gefördert.
