Mit dem sechstägigen Festival Widerstand der Klänge präsentiert die In Situ Art Society ein breites Spektrum der ukrainischen Neuen Musik, angefangen mit den Komponisten der „Kiewer Avantgarde“, die um 1960 ins Blickfeld der Öffentlichkeit rückte, aber bei den Verfechtern der konservativen sowjetischen Musikästhetik auf heftige Ablehnung stieß, wie Leonid Hrabovsky und Valentin Silvestrov, bis hin zur jüngsten Generation – Adrian Mocanu, Anna Arkushyna, Alisa Kobzar und anderen.
Die ukrainische Neue Musik wird in ihrer kontinuierlichen Entwicklung über Jahrzehnte hinweg gezeigt, im Einklang mit dem europäischen Zeitgeist, aber auch auf der Suche nach einem eigenen Weg.
