Zhora Sargsyan wurde 1994 in Jerewan (Armenien) geboren. Er studierte
zunächst an der Musikhochschule „Komitas“ seiner Heimatstadt. Seit 2014
setzt er seine Ausbildung an der Universität der Künste Berlin bei
Prof. Klaus Hellwig fort.
Weitere künstlerische Impulse erhielt er in Meisterkursen bei Dmitri
Baschkirow, Paul Lewis, Eldar Nebolsin, Roland Krüger und Severin von
Eckardstein.
Wettbewerbserfolge von Jerewan bis Paris
Zhora Sargsyan ist Preisträger internationaler Wettbewerbe. Bereits im
Jahr 2010, im Alter von 16 Jahren, erspielte er sich den 2. Preis und
den Publikumspreis beim Aram-Khachaturyan-Wettbewerb in Armenien. 2014
wurde er mit dem Preis des Präsidenten Armeniens im Bereich der
klassischen Musik ausgezeichnet. Im September 2018 gewann er den 2.
Preis beim Anton-Rubinstein-Wettbewerb in Düsseldorf. Ein knappes Jahr
später folgte der 1. Preis beim Hochschulwettbewerb „Artur Schnabel“.
Sein größter Wettbewerbserfolg war im November 2019 der 3. Preis des
renommierten Long-Thibaud-Crespin-Wettbewerbs in Paris.
Konzerte in Salzburg und Genua
Zhora Sargsyan gastierte als Solist und Kammermusikpartner bereits in
zahlreichen Ländern der Welt, u.a. in Südkorea, der Türkei und Kanada.
Er ist gern gesehener Gast renommierter Musikfestivals wie Young Euro
Classics, Salzburger Festspiele, Bachtage Potsdam oder „Amici di
Paganini“ in Genua und Hvide-Sande-Festival in Dänemark.
Als Solist spielte Zhora Sargsyan mit namhaften Orchestern wie dem
Orchestre National de France, dem Armenian National Philharmonic
Orchestra und dem Orchester der Armenischen Oper unter der Leitung von
Dirigenten wie Jesko Sirvend, Armando Merino, Karen Durgaryan u.a. Mit
dem Symphonieorchester der UdK Berlin und seinem Dirigenten Steven
Sloane führte er das zweite Klavierkonzert von S. Rachmaninow auf. Seit
2016 ist Zhora Sargsyan Kammermusikpartner der Geigerin Natalia
Prishepenko.
Zhora Sargsyan unterstützt das Projekt Kammerton, mit dem Kindern in
Armenien und Georgien eine musikalische Ausbildung ermöglicht wird
