Big Data is suddenly everywhere. Crazy mathematical models make predictions from Twitter feeds. "Data is the new oil”. €250 billion is the potential annual value of Big Data to Europe’s public sector. What does this mean? How does it work? And what use is it to me and my business? In this Office Hours session (1-on-1), Paul helps you to disentangle the world of data and analytics, and talks you through how it might apply to your project.
About Event Holder
Dr. Paul von Bünau is an associate at idalab, a Berlin-based analytics consulting boutique specialising in high-end mathematical modelling for clients ranging from multinational banks and pharmaceutical companies, to the digital industries and innovative startups. He holds a Ph.D. in statistical data analysis from TU Berlin and an M.Sc. in pure mathematics from the University of St. Andrews. He is also Kassenprüfer at the Eintracht Südring Tennisclub.

- Office Hours is a one-on-one consultation session. Not a group workshop or a presentation. Please prepare and come to the session with your own questions.
- Once you arrive, please go to reception.
- Only one session (30 minutes) per person per month.

I have not received my Advanced Analytics, Big Data and Mathematical Modeling ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Advanced Analytics, Big Data and Mathematical Modeling tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
