Dicht & Ergreifend sind Trendsetter der Unangepasstheit. In einer Gesellschaft aus Optimieren und Performern auf der Suche nach der noch geschliffeneren Aussprache rappen sie Dialekt. Wie so viele kreative Geister hat es George Urquell und Lef Dutti aus der niederbayerischen Provinz nach Berlin gezogen. Aber statt sich zu verleugnen, drehen sie den Spieß um.
Von Anfang an ist die Crew auf einer Welle der Begeisterung gesurft: Ihr erster Videoclip „Zipfeschwinga“ wurde 2014 zum Youtube-Hit. Es folgten zwei Auftritte im Bayerischen Fernsehen und gemeinsame Konzerte mit LaBrassBanda, die nicht mehr nur im Freistaat ungefähr so bekannt sind, wie der FC Bayern.
Auf ihrem ersten Album „Dampf der Giganten“ erweisen sich George Urquell und Lef Dutti als Dampfplauderer von epischem Ausmaß. Mit prollig-ironischem Charme packen sie ein Maximum an Schmarrn in kreative Reime und abseitige Vergleiche.
Bei aller Sympathie für Bayern schwingt bei Dicht & Ergreifend immer ein bisschen Kritik an der Engstirnigkeit in der Weißwurst-Nation mit. Ein Track wie „Imma No“ war nach dem Wohlfühlbajuwarismus der letzten Jahre lange überfällig.
Und die Beats? Die klingen mal nach Zithermusik im Club und mal wie Shantel auf Bayern-Besuch - die meiste Zeit aber nach US-Rap der 90er und 00er Jahre. Zu fetten Beats, wabernden Synthies und knisternden Soulsamples veranstalten Lulle 68 und Phil Griagl auf fast jedem Track ein Tuba-Massaker. Und dieses bayerischste aller Instrumente kann neben „Um-ta-ta“, definitiv auch richtig bedrohlich klingen. Summa summarum: Wenn jemand Bayern-Rap endlich zum deutschlandweiten Durchbruch verhelfen kann, dann sind das Dicht & Ergreifend.
