Die Rostocker Punk-Rock Formation DRITTE WAHL setzt sich für Flüchtlinge ein und spielt ein Benefiz-Konzert für das Bündnis für Bedingungsloses Bleiberecht.
OFFIZIELLES STATEMENT
„Täglich gibt es neue schlimme Meldungen über Brandanschläge, Übergriffe auf Unterkünfte von Flüchtlingen, Pöbeleien, Beleidigungen und Angriffe auf Asylbewerber.
Die Politik duckt sich weg, die Staatsgewalt schaut immer noch mehr nach links als nach rechts. So haben Nazis, Rassisten und ihre Mitläufer oft freie Bahn.
Freital, Heidenau, Weissach im Tal, Nauen – die Orte stehen stellvertretend für eine unterschwellige fremdenfeindliche Stimmung im Land, die sich immer öfter entlädt.
Gerade wir als Rostocker Band fühlen uns um 23 Jahre in der Zeit zurückversetzt. Damals spielten sich in Rostock-Lichtenhagen, Mölln, Solingen, Hoyerswerda usw. ganz ähnliche Szenen ab.
Wir haben lange überlegt, wie wir den Menschen, die auf der Flucht vor Krieg und Vertreibung zu uns kommen, konkret helfen können. Wir wollen nicht nur Bilder auf Facebook teilen oder seitenlange Abhandlungen über unsere Sicht der Dinge verfassen.
Wir wollen einen Verein finanziell unterstützen, der sich schon längere Zeit für Flüchtlinge und Asylsuchende einsetzt und haben uns stellvertretend für die vielen tollen Vereine und Initiativen hierzulande für das BÜNDNIS FÜR BEDINGUNGSLOSES BLEIBERECHT entschieden.

Band, Crew und Veranstalter-Team verzichten komplett auf ihre Gagen.
Menschen, die aus Kriegs- und Krisenregionen fliehen, müssen bei uns mit offenen Armen aufgenommen werden.
Das ist ein Gebot der Menschlichkeit und der Anständigkeit.
