Die EDI FENZL BAND steht für adrenalingeladenen Texas-Bluesrock in der klassischen Trio-Besetzung Gitarre/Gesang, Bass und Schlagzeug.
Neben vielen abwechslungsreichen eigenen Songs werden auch Interpretationen von Größen wie Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Steve Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top und vielen anderen gespielt.
Die Band war 2014 Finalist bei der „European Blues Challenge“ in Riga und besticht mit authentischem 70er Jahre-Vintage-Sound, Virtuosität und Spielfreude auf internationalem Niveau.
Das Album „Planet Love“ erschien im Herbst 2016 und enthält ausschließlich selbst geschriebenes Material.
Das neue Album mit dem Titel „Electric Ediland“ ist ein Tribut an den Gitarrengott „Jimi Hendrix“ und erschien im Mai 2018 auf Vinyl und CD.
Beide Alben erfreuen sich jeder Menge positiver Kritik in einschlägigen Zeitschriften im In- und Ausland, u.a. auch in „Gitarre & Bass“, dem größten deutschsprachigen Musiker-Fachmagazin. Seit dem Frühjahr 2017 haben einige Songs beider Platten regelmäßig Airplay auf dem Blues/Rock/Country-Radiosender „Music City Roadhouse“ in Nashville Tennessee.
Als Vorbote des kommenden, beim New Yorker Bluesrock-Label „Grooveyard Records“ erscheinenden, Albums dient das Video zum neuen Titel „Freewheelin“.
Durch zahlreiche Auftritte und Tourneen in Österreich und Deutschland hat sich das Trio zu einer massiven Einheit zusammengeschweißt und allerorts eine stetig wachsende Fangemeinde aufgebaut. Im kleineren oder leiseren Rahmen kann die Band im wohnzimmertauglichen „Acoustic-Setup“ ebenso beeindrucken.
