Mit Gesucht: Dulzinea bietet das Musiktheater Ensemble Opéra sur Tréteaux eine freie Interpretation der romantischen Oper Don Quichotte des französischen Komponisten Jules Massenet aus dem Jahre 1910. Don Quichotte und Dulzinea haben sich über das Internet kennengelernt. Sie wollen sich zum ersten Mal persönlich treffen. Er ist überzeugt, in ihr seine Traumfrau zu finden. Sie hofft, mit diesem Treffen ihre Social Media-Follower zu unterhalten. Die Performance findet in zwei Teilen statt. Das virtuelle Kennenlernen wird auf den sozialen Netzwerken erzählt. Das tatsächliche Treffen findet in zwei Stunden vor einem Live-Publikum statt. Massenets Oper wird für zwei Sänger und zwei Gitarren bearbeitet und mit neuen Texten auf Deutsch und neuer Musik verbunden. Volkstheater, neue Medien und Kammermusik treffen aufeinander, um den bitter-süßen Geschmack der Liebe 2.0 wiederzugeben: Eine eigenartige Mischung aus Fantasie und Banalität, Verstellung und Identitätssuche.

Looking for Dulcinea is the first piece of the Berliner music theater ensemble Opéra sur Tréteaux. It is loosely based on the romantic opera Don Quichotte from 1910 by french composer Jules Massenet. Don Quichotte and Dulcinea met on the internet. They plan to meet in person for the first time. He is already convinced she is the woman of his dreams. She just wants to entertain her social media followers.
The Performance has two chapters: the virtual acquaintance is told via facebook over the course of three months. The actual meeting happens in two hours in front of a live audience. Massenet's opera is adapted for two singers and two guitars with the help of new music pieces and german dialogs. Strolling theater meets new media and chamber music to render the bitter-sweet taste of Love 2.0: a unique blend of fantasy and mundanity, pretense and search for identity.
