Jonah Smith ist ein Singer-Songwriter aus Los Angeles, der bereits auf eine zwanzigjährige Karriere zurückblicken kann. Seine Songs bewegen sich mühelos zwischen den Genregrenzen von Blues über Soul bis hin zu Folk und Americana und verschmelzen seine weitreichenden Einflüsse von Elton John über Ray Charles bis Bob Dylan zu einer mitreißenden Mischung. Der New Yorker zieht angesichts von Jonahs tief in der amerikanischen Tradition verwurzeltem Songwriting sogar Parallelen zu The Band.
Live überzeugt Jonah nicht nur mit seiner souligen Stimme, die an den jungen Steve Winwood erinnert, sondern auch mit seinen virtuosen Tastenkünsten.
In den USA ist er unter anderem durch seine Kollaborationen mit Los Lobos, Little Feat und Taj Mahal bekannt. Festivalauftritte bei Bonnaroo und seine Teilnahme bei America’s got Talent verhalfen ihm zu internationaler Bekanntheit. Er tourt regelmäßig in den USA, Europa und Asien. Sein letztes Album Stay Close wurde als Album des Jahres bei den Independent Music Awards nominiert und gewann in der Kategorie Best Story Song.
2020 bringt Jonah ein neues Album heraus und wird damit im Oktober und November wieder nach Europa kommen. Begleitet wird er dabei von einer vierköpfigen Band um den New Yorker Gitarristen Ben Forrester, der sich durch seine Touren mit Paulie Cerra, Keegan McInore und der Allen-Forrester Band in den letzten Jahren in der deutschen Blues- und Rock-Szene einen Namen gemacht hat.

Live-Konzerte im Woid - im Sommer treten Bands auf verschiedenen Open Air Bühnen auf... am Badesee des Adventure Camp Schnitzmühle (Viechtach), auf der Burgruine Runding oder auch mal ganz woanders.
Sobald es draußen zu kühl wird, gibt es Konzerte im Alten Spital Viechtach und natürlich im Bahnhof Kötzting.
