LOVE AMONGST RUIN kehren dieses Jahr endlich mit dem Nachfolger ihres gleichnamigen Debütalbums zurück. Die Band, die sich um Steve Hewitt rankt, der 2007 unerwartet den Schlagzeughocker von PLACEBO verließ, ist ein kleines aber feines Projekt, so etwas wie Steve Hewitts multitalentiertes Kind, dem er alle Aufmerksamkeit schenkt und auf das er aufpasst, wie seinen Augapfel. Es stand ihm nie im Sinn, die Band zu verheizen oder auf den Ruhm von Placebo aufzubauen oder diesen als Trittbrett zu nutzen. Dafür ist LOVE AMONGST RUIN aber auch viel zu selbstsicher und eigenständig. Lose Your Way ist die nächste Stufe auf dem Schritt der totalen Befreiung. Sehr viel greifbarer sind die Songs, frei von der süssen Bitterkeit, die das Debüt geprägt hat. Dennoch kann man sich der Vergleiche mit anderen dunklen Indiebands nicht entziehen, da wundert es auch nicht, dass kein Geringerer als Perry Bamonte von The Cure Steve auf der Tour begleiten wird. In Berlin erleben wir die Band in der intimen Atmosphäre des Privatclubs.
