Description
'Queering Vienna' is a big art & culture project showcasing several Viennese queer authors, comedians, musicians and performers and their personal perspectives on the art & culture industry. Within a diverse line-up the artists represent themselves and their art/performance followed by a discussion with all of them sharing their experiences, thoughts and opinions on the Viennese culture industry. How big or small is the actual support of queer artists beyond the popular 'Pride Month' and how could we address the overall value of queer art to as individual perspectives instead of niche? Join us for a whole day full of diverse voices, art and perspectives.
Project & event: 17. August 2024 - 15:00 - 23:00 + Afterparty!
Collabs: Jo&Joes Vienna, Stadt Wien / Rudolfsheim Fünfhaus
Organiser
NewCulture is a nonprofit association based and founded in Vienna by artists Isabella M. May and Artur Asboth to support fellow creative professionals and their goals. It helps artists of any backgrounds, art-fields and styles to connect and enrich each others perspective of creating while participating in our events or projects.
As a charitable association NewCultures goal is to build a strong community of artists that can profit from each others experiences and work on events, projects or collaborations together. We strongly believe that working with other creative people and ambitious organizers is the best and most enhancing way of growing an artists circle and reputation. Why fighting on your own when you can lift each other up? Talking about experiences, spreading ideas, sharing each others social-media-posts, visiting each others events, or even collaborating in a bigger project together - use NewCulture any way you feel most comfortable with and see the most use in. It's up to YOU.
