Das Konzert von The Rifles am 11.04. im Lido muss auf den 05.10. verschoben werden. Alle bereits gekauften Karten behalten ihre Gültigkeit, können aber auch dort zurückgegeben werden wo sie gekauft wurden. Tickets sind weiterhin erhältlich.

"Hey Everyone,
We are sorry to announce our European dates starting Weds have been rescheduled until October this year.
We have been rushing to get our new album finished and for us to get it to you this July we need to spend next week wrapping it all up.
The good news is we can announce that the album will now be a double album!
New dates will be announced as soon as we get it all confirmed.
Again our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and full refunds will be made available from point of purchase if you can’t make the rescheduled dates.
We can't wait to get back on the road with the new record!

Obwohl sie momentan eigentlich noch im Studio sind, machen sich THE RIFLES jetzt schon Gedanken, wie sie ihre neuen Songs dem deutschen Publikum präsentieren können. Im April kehren die vier Briten für fünf Clubshows nach Deutschland zurück. Rifles-Sänger Joel Stoker und Gitarrist Luke Crowther waren nach einem Konzert von Oasis im Jahre 1996 so geflasht, dass sie sich dazu entschieden, selber eine Band zu gründen. Inspiriert vom damaligen Britpop-Hype und dem mitreißenden Sound von The Clash, kreierten THE RIFLES ihren ganz eigenen Indie-Rocksound.
Bekannte Radio-DJs wie unter anderem Zane Lowe (BBC Radio 1/Beats 1) erkannten schon damals das große Potenzial der Band und verhalfen ihnen mit zahlreichen Radioplays zum Erfolg. Schnell bildete sich eine treue Fanbase, welche das letzte Album der Band durch Crowdfunding mitfinanzierte. THE RIFLES wurden vom Londoner-Geheimtipp zu einer wahren Größe in der Indie-Szene. Nachdem sich die Originalbesetzung 2013 wieder zusammenfand und 2014 das Album ‘‘NONE THE WISER‘‘ rausbrachte, fand die Band wieder zu ihren alten Stärken zurück. Umso mehr kann man auf die Fortsetzung dessen gespannt sein…
THE RIFLES werden auf ihrer Tour von der britischen Indie-Rockband WHITECLIFF begleitet, welche schon wie die Rifles damals von namhaften Radiostationen in England als ‘‘hotly-tipped newcomer‘‘ bezeichnet werden.
