The Show of Small Things ist die erste Kollaboration des Trios Korhan Erel (Türkei) María Ferrara (Spanien) and Beatrice Madach (Deutschland).

The world is full of beautiful orphaned objects that are likely to go unnoticed and end up in the rubbish. Removed from their original context, they lose their functionality and, with it, their value. Since I was a child I've been drawn by the exoticism of beautiful stray things: a single necklace bead, a tiny lockless key, an aristocratic button, tinsel chocolate wrappers, an empty perfume vial, a curtain ring, a mattress spring... The Show of Small Things is the public reprieve of these displaced objects; an adult return to the treasure box with choreography, live electronic music and live video projection all exposing the lyricism and secret life of these outcast jewels.

The Show of Small Things is the first collaboration by the trio Korhan Erel (Turkey), María Ferrara (Spain) and Beatrice Madach (Germany). The three have worked in interdisciplinary formations before and share an interest in the textures that emerge at the meeting point between image, sound, action, digital and concrete.
