Develop your travel experience
You like traveling and photographing but are not always satisfied with the pictures you bring home from your journeys? Travel photography is a world on its own. In this course you'll learn all you need to know to make your travel pictures shine.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP?
Travel photography is not just about taking pictures of places you visit during a trip. The aim is to make the viewer of your images feel as if he or she had been there with you. But how do you do that? Don’t worry, with the Photography Workshop · The travelling photographer you’ll find out.
We’ll learn how to plan your trip so that you make the most of your time, light conditions and location possibilities, how to decide what gear to bring, how to overcome your fears when approaching estrangers, how to beautifully depict landscapes and buildings and ultimately how to tell a story using your images.
You'll often not travel alone, so we’ll also see how to find a balance between the photographic and the social sides of a trip (with your partner, family or friends). You'll see there’s time for everything!
SESSION OVERVIEW
Session 1
We will start by reviewing some travel reportages, by seeing how to organise your trip and by deepening into other considerations related to travel photography.
Session 2
A session dedicated to landscape and architectural photography. We'll study the characteristics of natural light and some key factors to improve our compositions.
Session 3
Travel photography is not only about places, it’s also about the people who live in those places. This session will be dedicated to portrait and street photography. We will finish by editing and sequencing the photos we have taken during our trip, to end up with a story based on images that we will present in a cool slideshow.
