Konzert im Kunstquartier Bethanien, Kreuzberg
In dem Programm des jungen Ensemble Compas und dem Tenor Kim Schrader geht es um Erfahrungen von Exil, Heimatverlust und -suche, Zuflucht in der Fremde und in der Musik. Es sind die Themen der aus Berlin stammenden deutsch-amerikanischen Komponistin Ursula Mamlok (1923-2016), deren Musik den Mittelpunkt dieses Konzerts bildet. Ihr zur Seite stellt das Ensemble Musik von Adriana Hölszky und Lieder von Jobst Liebrecht auf Exil-Gedichte Bertolt Brechts und des Deutsch-Briten Michael Hamburger, die mit Ursula Mamlok das Schicksal von NS-Verfolgung und Flucht aus Berlin teilten.

Die Klangwerkstatt Berlin 2022 hat das Thema Schönheit. Die Frage nach Schönheit ist nicht nur legitim, sondern geradezu zwingend in einer Zeit des Krieges, der Klimakrise und der daraus resultierenden globalen Verwerfungen. Denn Schönheit und Wahrhaftigkeit bedingen einander. Schönheit kann uns – im Wortsinn – ergreifen. Sie lässt uns das Unbekannte im Gewohnten entdecken. Damit ist sie ein Akt der Selbstermächtigung und der Freiheit. Schönheit betrifft den Menschen ganz. Das Programm präsentiert 20 Konzerte, Performances, Musiktheater, Familienkonzerte, Kinder- und Jugendensembles, Mittagsmusiken mit Imbiss und einen langen Filmabend.
