Description
Anguish ist die aktuelle Zusammenarbeit zwischen Hans Joachim Irmler, dem Gründungsmitglied des legendären deutschen Krautrock-Band „Faust“, dem schwedischen Free-Jazz Saxophonisten Mats Gustafsson (u. a. „The Thing“, „Peter Brötzmann Chicago Tenten“, „Fire!“), dem US-amerikanischen experimentellen Hip-Hop Band Dälek (Will Brooks und Mike Mare) und dem schwedischen Schlagzeuger Andreas Werliin („Fire!“). Anguish vereint Elemente aus Hip-Hop, Noise Rock und Free Jazz zu einem progressiven und avantgardistischen Crossover Sound.

This powerhouse, inter-generational offering and RareNoise Records debut brings together an unlikely gather-ing of members of the New Jersey-based experimental hip-hop group Dälek (electronic musician and vocalist Will Brooks with guitarist-keyboardist Mike Mare), the Swedish free jazz group Fire! Orchestra (tenor saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, drummer Andreas Werliin) and the classic ‘70s German krautrock band Faust (keyboardist and 68-year-old founding member Hans Joachim Irmler).“

Raumklänge wurde 1998 als Konzertreihe für zeitgenössische Musik ge-gründet und widmet sich immer wieder interdisziplinären Grenzgängen.
Raumklänge ist eine Kooperation von der Kulturabteilung der Stadt Pulheim, dem Museum Morsbroich (Leverkusen), dem Hallraum Worringer Platz (Düsseldorf) und der In Situ Art Society (Bonn) und wird im Rahmen der Regionalen Kulturpolitik vom Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen gefördert.
