Reggae, Calypso und bayerische Mundart – passt das zusammen? Die neu gegründete Band COCOLADA ist der lebende Beweis! Die tropischen Einflüsse aus der Karibik und die bayerischen Wurzeln ergeben gemeinsam einen unverwechselbaren und einzigartigen Sound. Da erscheint das Debüt Album genau richtig zum Sommer 2021 – Sommerfeeling pur!„Unsere Musik ist ungezwungen, lädt zum Tanzen ein und lässt dennoch Platz für Tief-gang und Hörgenuss.“ sagt Matthias Köckeis, der singende und Horn-spielende Kopf der Band. Die exotischen karibischen Klänge wechseln sich mit vertrauten ab und setzen sie in eine neue musikalische Umgebung.
Mit Geschichten aus dem Leben durch die Clubs - Mit tanzbarer Bavarian Roots Music, tropischen Elementen und humoristischen Texten erzählen COCOLADA Geschichten aus dem Leben. Bläser und Percussion sorgen für eingängige Island Sounds und holen auch die letzten sitzenden von ihren Stühlen runter.Dass die Band überwiegend in bayerischer Mundart singt, hat weniger mit Lokalpatrio-tismus als viel mehr mit der Freude an Klangspielen zu tun, die dieser Dialekt hergibt. Wenn die Musik es verlangt, kommen die Texte auch in Hochdeutsch oder Englisch daher und werden charmant akzentuiert.

Live-Konzerte im Woid - im Sommer treten Bands auf 5 verschiedenen Open Air Bühnen auf... am Badesee des Adventure Camp Schnitzmühle (Viechtach), auf der Burgruine Runding, am Steinhof in Zell (Roding), am Drachensee bei Furth im Wald und auf dem Vorplatz beim Alten Spital in Viechtach
Sobald es draußen zu kühl wird, gibt es Konzerte im Alten Spital Viechtach und im Bahnhof Kötzting.
