Nein,
das ist kein Abschied unsererseits, sondern der verheißungsvolle
Titel eines außergewöhnlichen, wiederentdeckten und restaurierten
Stummfilms aus dem Jahr 1927 – für Hamburg eine Erstaufführung.

Während einer Aufführung 1929 im “Cinema Balzac“ in Paris fiel der Film einem Feuer zum Opfer und galt seitdem als verschollen. Der bekannte französische Musikwissenschaftler und Kunsthistoriker Jean-Yves Patte las in einem älteren Magazin über Dreharbeiten und Hintergründe zu diesem Film, fand das Thema spannend und begab sich umgehend auf Spurensuche. Bei langwierigen Nachforschungen stieß er in Frankreich und England auf immer mehr Filmfragmente. Sein Bemühen wurde belohnt: 90 Jahre nach der Filmpremiere entstand unter seiner Leitung in einem Pariser Filmstudio eine fast vollständige Rekonstruktion des ursprünglichen Stummfilms, der heute neu gesehen werden kann – ein Juwel.
Für einen Höhepunkt dieser Aufführung sorgt auch die bezaubernde Pianistin Elizaveta Don. Das bewegende Stummfilm-Erlebnis begleitet sie mit Stücken von Frédéric Chopin, darunter natürlich auch der Titelwalzer Valse de l’adieu As-Dur, op. 69, Nr. 1.
