Die postdramatische Comedyshow „Lachen Verboten!“von Göktuğ Engel untersucht durch das Spiel mit der eigenen Biografie das Verhältnis von Humor und Macht: Woher kommt der Wille andere zum Lachen zu bringen? Was bringt uns zum Lachen? Welche Machtgefüge verstecken sich dahinter? Und was hat Scham damit zu tun?
Schon als kleiner Junge, aufgewachsen in Istanbul, bemerkte Göktuğ Engel, dass stets sein Vater den sozialen Raum dominierte. Einerseits durch seine den gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen entsprechende Performance von Männlichkeit, andererseits durch seinen Humor. Glaubt man Philisoph Henri Bergson in „Das Lachen“, hat das, was uns zum Lachen bringt, immer etwas mit Machtverhältnissen zu tun. Die Show „Lachen verboten!“ fußt auf dieser Annahme und beleuchtet sie genau im Laufe der Inszenierung - nur um sie dann durch die Konfrontation mit der eigenen Scham zu brechen.
Das Publikum erlebt ein Statusexperiment, eine One-Man-Comedyshow, ein postdramatisches Spiel mit den Regeln der Vierten Wand, ein Spagat zwischen Stand Up, Inszenierung des Ichs und unvorhersehbarer Performance.

Die Show wird am 25.4. von einem anschließenden Publikumsgespräch moderiert von Seda Güngör begleitet.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
