Das Kairos Quartett spielt mit Drachenspiele II sein drittes Konzertprogramm der Reihe LUFT I WURZELN. Das Programm mit wesentlichen asiatischen Einflüssen lässt Migrationsbewegungen zwischen europäischen und asiatischen Klangwelten erklingen.
Zu hören sind u.a. die Uraufführung der chinesischen Komponistin Yanwen Li und die deutsche Erstaufführung des aus Malaysia stammenden Kee-Yong Chong. Beide Komponist*innen werden für die Konzerte aus Asien anreisen. In Gesprächen mit Simone Heilgendorff geben sie zwischen den Stücken Einblicke in ihre musikalische Arbeit. Als Gastmusiker ist Wu Wei an der chinesischen Mundorgel Scheng dabei.

This third concert programme in Kairos Quartett's LUFT I WURZELN series is an Asian-focused programme, that makes space for the resonance of migratory movements between Europe and Asia. Among the featured works are the world premiere by the Chinese composer Yanwen Li and the German premiere of a work by Malaysian composer Kee-Yong Chong, as well as works by Sandeep Bhagwati and Gabriel Iranyi which feature the Chinese mouth organ, scheng, played by virtuoso Wu Wei.
