Im Konzert treffen sich verwandte und doch verschiedene Instrumente – Oboe und Schalmei stehen einander mit den jeweils zugehörigen Musikstücken direkt gegenüber; verbindendes Thema ist die auf Ovid zurückgehende Metamorphose. Hier wird Musik durch Wort ergänzt, antike Literatur als musikalische Inspiration über die Renaissance bis hin zur Moderne.
Kanonisch für die Auffassung der „heidnischen“ Antike sind Ovids Metamorphosen mit einer Vielzahl von Verwandlungen, beispielsweise der des Adonis in eine Blume, aber auch von Versetzungen in die Sphäre der Sterne wie der Callisto, die Jupiter in das Sternbild des Großen Bären verwandelt. Es erklingen Werke von Benjamin Britten, Cristofano Malvezzi, Claudio Monteverdi u.a.

In the concert, related and yet different instruments meet - oboe and shawm are directly opposite each other with the respective music pieces; the unifying theme is the metamorphosis going back to Ovid. Here music is complemented by words, ancient literature as musical inspiration through the Renaissance to the modern era.
Canonical for the conception of "pagan" antiquity are Ovid's metamorphoses with a multitude of transformations, for example that of Adonis into a flower, but also of transpositions into the sphere of the stars such as Callisto transforming Jupiter into the constellation of the Great Bear. Works by Benjamin Britten, Cristofano Malvezzi, Claudio Monteverdi and others will be heard.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
