Dreaming with Ears
A listening performance by Tomoko Hojo (Tokyo) and Rahel Kraft (Vienna/Zurich)
Tomoko Hojo (Toyko) und Rahel Kraft (Wien/Zürich) haben seit 2016 eine gemeinsame Praxis in Bezug auf Klang, Ort und Intimität entwickelt. Mit Performance, Field Recordings, Text und Improvisationen erschaffen sie träumerische Klangwerke.
D: In der Hörperformance „My Place / My Sound - Dreaming with Ears“ geht es um Klangerinnerungen, innerer Wahrnehmung und der Frage nach Heimat. Hojo+Kraft realisierten Projekte in Tokio, den Schweizer Alpen und im Schlossgarten Karlsruhe. Sie interessierten sich insbesondere für verborgene, schwache und intime Klänge, welche in der Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Ort oft überhört werden. Zum Beispiel der Atmen eines geliebten Menschen, leise widerhallend auf der Matratze. Oder der Flügelschlag eines Vogels, der sich gerade auf einen Ast setzt. Eine Stimme, irgendwo in der Dunkelheit; gewöhnliche aber besondere Klänge. My Place / My Sound enthält drei Werke, welche ursprünglich als Klanginstallation und Audiowalk konzipiert wurden. Eine Einladung unbekannte Orte zu entdecken, oder anders formuliert: Träume mit den Ohren!
E: The listening performance ‘My Place / My Sound - Dreaming with Ears’ is dealing with sound memories, inner perception and the question of home. Hojo+Kraft conducted projects in Tokyo, the Swiss Alps and in the Schlossgarten Karlsruhe. They were particularly interested in hidden, faint and intimate sounds, which are often inaudible in the relationship between people and place. For example the breathing of sleeping family members echoing on the mattress. Flapping wings, when a bird sits on a branch. Someone’s voice heard far away in the darkness; these are ordinary yet special sounds. My Place / My Sound assembles three works, originally created as sound installations and audio walks. An invitation to discover unknown places, or to put it differently: Dream with your ears!

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
