Projektionen von laufenden Tieren. Laute, klassische Musik untermalt die kraftvollen Bewegungen. Theater: Absolute Stille, Keine Bestuhlung - nur eine weibliche Figur die an einer Kette von der Decke hängt. Diese wird von einer gottähnlichen, unsichtbaren Figur gespannt oder gelöst. Je nach Radius muss die Darstellerin neue Wege finden, gegen die Spannung der Kette zu kämpfen, mit ihr zu tanzen oder eine Art Kommunikation mit dem Publikum aufzubauen. FLOATING ist eine sensorische Antwort auf den desorientierten, selbstgedämpften Schrei des modernen "freien" Menschen.

Katia Giovo ist eine italienisch-amerikanische Tänzerin und Choreografin. Sie erhielt ihren Bachelor-Abschluss in Bildender Kunst am College of Visual and Performing Arts der George Mason University, wo sie an der Neuproduktion von Werken von Stephen Petronio, Martha Graham und Doug Varone beteiligt war. Sie war Teil des L.O.F.T. - Laboratorio Opifico Teatrale in Florenz, Italien, wo sie mit Choreographen wie Loris Petrillo, Max Barachin, Peter Mika, Corinne Lanselle, Roberto Castello und Samuele Cardini arbeitete. Im Jahr 2016 zog sie nach Berlin, Deutschland. In Berlin führte sie eine kontinuierliche Studie über die Authentizität von Bewegung durch, die vor allem durch ihre Einführung in das Thema durch ihre Arbeit mit Judith Sanchez Ruiz in der Improvisationsperformance "Mirror Equation" katalysiert wurde. Sie tanzte in der Late Night Opera der Kiezoper in der Interpretation von "Il Trionfo Del Tempo e Del Disinganno" und für die Veranstaltungsreihe "The House of Red Doors” von Bad Bruises. Für das Stück "Through the Eyes of the Other" von Alex Winder Lieberman und Edith Buttingsrud Pedersen agierte sie als Co-Dramaturgin im Bereich Bewegung und Konzept. Sie war Co-Choreografin und Regisseurin für "Sisyphus in Violent Torment" von Jahman Davine und "And Then She Became A Chair" von Michelle Myers, beides Projekte, die von Holy Conflict initiiert und produziert wurden, und ist weiterhin an der Schaffung neuer Konzepte und Ideen als Teil des Kollektivs beteiligt. Zusammen mit mehreren Künstlern war sie auch daran beteiligt, den Tanz auf die große Leinwand zu bringen: Ihr jüngstes Projekt ist "SAD - an ode to seasonal depression", ein konzeptuelles Tanzvideo von Celeste Patten und ihrem Kollektiv Little Speak. In letzter Zeit hat sie auch an kollaborativen Texten gearbeitet, wie z.B. für "Keep Pushing", einen Spot für Cleptomanicx, und mit Textbeiträgen für "Murky Blush", eine Tanzperformance von Edith Pedersen.

Laura Cancellieri ist in Rom in einer deutsch-italienischen Familie aufgewachsen. Ihre Zweisprachigkeit weckte ihr Interesse am Bikulturalismus, am Konflikt bzw. der Symbiose verschiedener sozialer Identitäten und lehrte sie früh sich mit unterschiedlichen sozialen Umgebungen vertraut zu machen. Dies motivierte sie zu einem autodidaktischen Studium der Psychologie und Soziologie. In München studierte sie Medienmanagement mit den Schwerpunkten Kommunikations- und Medienpsychologie. Neben Ihrer Tätigkeit als Konzepterin für UX Design leitet sie auch Kreativ-Workshops in Berlin. Ihre Vision ist es, die besten methodischen Ansätze zu verfolgen, um nachhaltige Lösungen für die Komplexität menschlicher Probleme zu schaffen. Als Dramaturgin arbeitete sie für Holy Conflict an den Stücken "The Plague of Desire", "Sisyphus in Violent Torment" und “And Then She Became a Chair” und ist aktiv in den Schaffensprozess neuer Projekte involviert. Fragen, die sie antreiben, sind: Was verbindet uns Menschen? Und inwieweit kann die individuelle und kollektive Heilung von Traumata und "double binds” kreativ, systematisch, interdisziplinär und multimedial gefördert werden? Der künstlerische Anspruch ihrer Forschung zeichnet sich durch einen hohen Grad an Authentizität und Verantwortungsbewusstsein gegenüber der Gemeinschaft aus.

Projections of running animals. Loud, classical music accompanies the powerful movements. Theatre: Absolute silence, no seating - just a female figure hanging from a chain from the ceiling. This is tensioned or released by a god-like, invisible figure. Depending on the radius the actress has to find new ways to fight against the tension of the chain, to dance with it or to establish a kind of communication with the audience. FLOATING is a sensory response to the disoriented, self-damped cry of the modern "free" human being.

Katia Giovo is an Italian-American dancer and choreographer. Her interest lies in discovering the possibilities of embodied cognition, allowing open exploration to create honest physicality of thoughts and ideas that can be translated and experienced. Katia received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts from George Mason University’s College of Visual and Preforming Arts, where she was involved in the new production of works by Stephen Petronio, Martha Graham and Doug Varone. She was part of L.O.F.T. - Laboratorio Opifico Teatrale in Florence Italy, where she worked with choreographers such as Loris Petrillo, Max Barachin, Peter Mika, Corinne Lanselle, Roberto Castello and Samuele Cardini. In 2016 she moved to Berlin, Germany. In Berlin she carried out a continuous study on the authenticity of movement, catalysed primarily by her introduction to the subject through her work with Judith Sanchez Ruiz in the improvisation performance “Mirror Equation”. She danced in the Late Night Opera of the Kiez Opera in the interpretation of “Il Trionfo Del Tempo e Del Disinganno” and for the series of events “The House of Red Doors” by the Bad Bruises. For the play “Through The Eyes of the Other” by Alex Winder Lieberman and Edith Buttingsrud Pedersen, she acted as a co-dramaturge in the field of movement and concept. She was co-choreographer and director for “Sisyphus in Violent Torment” by Jahman Davine, and “And Then She Became A Chair” by Michelle Myers, both projects proposed and produced by Holy Conflict, and continues to be involved in the creation of new concepts and ideas as part of the collective. Together with several artists, she was also involved in bringing dance to the big screen: her most recent project is “SAD - an ode to seasonal depression”, a conceptual dance video by Celeste Patten and her work by the Little Speak collective. Recently she has also worked on collaborative writing, such as for “Keep Pushing”, a spot for Cleptomanicx, and with text contributions for “Murky Blush”, a dance performance by Edith Pedersen.

Laura Cancellieri grew up in Rome in a German-Italian family. Her bilingualism awakened her interest in biculturalism, in the conflict and symbiosis of different social identities and taught her early on to become familiar with different social environments. This motivated her to an autodidactic study of psychology and sociology. In Munich she studied media management with a focus on communication and media psychology. In addition to her work as a concept developer for UX Design, she also leads creative workshops in Berlin. Her vision is to pursue the best methodological approaches to create sustainable solutions for the complexity of human problems. As a dramaturge for Holy Conflict she worked on the plays "The Plague of Desire", "Sisyphus in Violent Torment" and "And Then She Became a Chair" and is actively involved in the creative process of new projects. Questions that drive her are: What connects us humans? And to what extent can the individual and collective healing of trauma and "double binds" be promoted creatively, systematically, interdisciplinarily and through multimedia? The artistic ambition of her research is characterized by a high degree of authenticity and a sense of responsibility towards the community.
