Eine Postkarte aus Beirut bekommt man nicht alle Tage, denn obwohl die Stadt lange als das Paris des Nahen Ostens galt, ist sie heute nicht unbedingt ein gängiges Touristenziel. Beirut ist eher als Thema der Abendnachrichten in unserem Bewusstsein, mehr Krisenherd denn Kulturzentrum. Kein Wunder also, dass eine Gruppe aus Beirut , Libanon, erstmal neugierig macht. Den Postcards ist mit ihrem Debut Album Dream-Pop in Vollendung gegluckt! Im Falle der aufstrebenden Band liegt es auf der Hand, den Reiz des Exotischen zu beschworen, doch wurde man damit den Postcards keinesfalls gerecht. Der markante Dream-Pop der Band verrat seine Provenienz nie, tont vielmehr so, als ware er vom Campus eines US-College ausgebuxt. Genau daran muss man ihn messen. Wurden die Postcards auch aufhorchen lassen, wenn sie einem der musikalischen Hotspots der USA entsprungen waren? Aber ja! Denn in ihrer Musik trifft melodischer Feinklang auf den genretypischen Gitarrensound und einen Gesang, der im Ausdruck seinesgleichen sucht. Julia Sabra verfugt uber einen Vortrag, der alle Verlorenheit und Sehnsucht fast beilaufig ins Mikro haucht.

Live-Konzerte im Woid - im Sommer treten Bands auf 5 verschiedenen Open Air Bühnen auf... am Badesee des Adventure Camp Schnitzmühle (Viechtach), auf der Burgruine Runding, am Steinhof in Zell (Roding), am Drachensee bei Furth im Wald und auf dem Vorplatz beim Alten Spital in Viechtach
Sobald es draußen zu kühl wird, gibt es Konzerte im Alten Spital Viechtach und im Bahnhof Kötzting.
